Sarah Palin is Dangerous
by andres on Sep.06, 2008, under Headline News
David Jaffe (creator of games such as Twisted Metal and God of War) got some flak for saying the primary aspect that he felt was selling Sarah Palin was that she was hot. He had to go on his video blog and be irked recently because he felt people were being too PC about his statement even though yes, Jaffe, it’s a little insulting to suggest a politician is going to be voted for just because she’s hot.
But on that note, I think he’s completely right. She’s attractive. Men are going to like her and want to put her in the office. But oh, you guys have no idea. She’s very attractive, but underneath she’s absolutely dangerous. She’s got that fire, that sharp ferocity underneath that’s just beautifully frightening. That makes her even more attractive to me. She’s got that face to mask the inner limit break.
Mmm. Okay, enough getting riled up. I think Sarah Palin is awesome. I hope she wins. And Jaffe needs to learn to phrase himself more eloquently and not video blog, but he’s absolutely right. I hope John McCain wins. I want this woman defending the country. She’s like Nariko.
Sarah Palin, if I was an American citizen, you’d have my vote again and again. Rock that White House

…Are you serious?
You would vote for her because she’s “attractive” and “ferocious”?
Does it not matter that she, 1) is anti-abortion even if your father rapes you, 2) is for abstinence-only education, ’cause that totally worked out for her kids, 3) is against not just same-sex marriage, but same-sex civil unions or any other kind of union that would get health benefits between partners, 4) is for drilling in the Alaskan Wildlife Reserve, 5) is for aerial hunting of wolves, 6) supports teaching creationism in science class, not religion class, 7) doesn’t believe global warming is a result of humans,
was part of a political party that supported Alaska’s secession from the States, 9) slashed funds for organizations that provided help for teen mothers, 10) … I’m tired of listing… …

@Kiri: Well, I’m also looking at this from the opinion that A) I want her for a position where she needs to handle the country in times of war, so she doesn’t have time to deal with all that other crap and B) if she does, none of her extremely uber-conservative crap is ever going to pass because it’ll be such a close election Congress is going to be at an absurd balance between Republican and Democrat seats.
Also, I’m not really happy about global health care and more government spending and taxes that would come from a Democratic government, which would not help me, the immigrant, at all for the next three years of the term.

keep listing kiri, I agree with a lot of those items, not all of course. If you are going to tell me you agree with every single thing Obama stands for, well that’s down right scary.

@Zimmermans: So wait, am I allowed to like Sarah Palin despite some of the things she stands for? I mean, I really doubt there’s going to be a moment in an election when I get to choose a candidate who wants to do exactly what I want him to do.

@Andres: Presumably, a president would need to make time to deal with all crap in the country, not just some crap. I suppose you’re right about Congress, though similarly, if she became president, she would also be in a position to veto anything non-conservative she didn’t agree with, which would pretty much mean absolutely nothing would ever get done. (Then again, since she apparently likes to play the popular role, she might just go along with whatever would increase her approval rating.) This is an interesting read about what she’s actually done in office.
@Zimmermans: I’m far from agreeing with everything Obama stands for, but as with most elections, with limited choices, we just have to go with whoever aligns with our positions the most, eh? I’m not too happy with Obama’s flip-flopping on certain issues (telecom immunity), but at least he can admit to changing his mind and explain why he did so, unlike Palin (lol Bridge to Nowhere).

Did you just say you hope John McCain wins? I’m Australian, so not totally up to date with American politics. But um…why not OBAMA!?!? He’s totally hot.

Because Obama is putting in more taxes and more economic decisions like universal health care that will A) not work and B) take more hard-earned money away from me. Money that will not be returned.
